Best Robot Vacuum Cleaner and Mop
Robotic vacuum cleaners and mops are the best method of quickly cleaning up mess. The top robot vacuums and mops that I have tested come with top-quality mapping and navigation as well as the ability to remove Cheerios wires, tangled wires and fake dog turds, without leaving them behind.
They're also user-friendly using an application that lets you plan cleaning tasks and check on how they're doing.
1. Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra
If you're looking for the best robot vacuum and mop with bleeding-edge features you should look no further than the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. This premium vacuum is quick and agile, and it picked up human hair and pet hair nearly flawlessly in our Debris Pickup Test. It also has a smart-looking app interface with a miniature map of your house and a few buttons on the screen to control the device manually.
The S8's Dirt Detection Technology enables it to change the cleaning mode in accordance with the level of dirt. It will stop and wash its mopping pad more often when it encounters dust, while prioritizing carpeted areas for mopping with a damp pad.
The mop roller has many other smart features, including docks that can be connected to your home plumbing system to clean and wash it without you having to refill the mop. You can even use voice commands to control the built-in voice assistant using the phrase "Hey Rocky" to specify rooms cleaning, modes and granular controls with your voice.
2. Yeedi Cube
The Yeedi Cube offers a variety of options for those who want a hands-free robot vacuum with mopping capabilities. It's one of the combination robot vacuums that have mopping capabilities that are priced lower than competitors.
Like all robovacs, the Yeedi Cube also requires some work to get it started. This includes setting up an app account and connecting the device to your WiFi network. Once you've completed that, the machine will begin to vacuum and mop effortlessly.
It's important to note that the mapping process can take some time and the Yeedi Cube may need a couple of attempts before it can get an accurate picture of your space. Additionally the detection of objects can be difficult to determine and it was able to get around furniture and other obstacles, but was stuck on a looser tassel rug and had to turn itself over to free itself. But these are minor flaws and the Yeedi Cube is still a great option for those who need an all-in-one cleaner.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
The Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete is a home cleaning solution. Its innovative mopping system uses a rotating motion that is similar to hand scrubs. This results in floors being cleaned, not just cleaned. The detachable vacuum stick is an innovative tool that can reach places even a robot vacuum cannot.
The model is basically the same as the popular X2 Omni, but with an increased suction power of 8700Pa, and a few additional clever features. The upgraded RGBD sensor is able to learn your home better and offer dynamic obstacle avoidance. The smart app allows you to alter a variety of settings, including AI cleaning and virtual boundaries.
The X2 Combo is also self-prepping and has both the robot vacuum and mop returning to their charging base after each task to clean their pads and empty their dust bins, and then place the debris in a self-sealing bag. This keeps the system clean, and stops allergens from circulating. And its battery lifespan is long enough to cover large areas without needing a recharge mid-clean.
4. Eufy S1 Pro
The Eufy S1 Pro is a high-end robot vacuum and mop model that comes with impressive features at an affordable price. It has a strong 8,000 Pa suction power, a rotating brush for hard and carpet floors, and great obstacle avoidance. It also has an unique mopping method that utilizes a roller continuously spraying with water to collect dirt and then deposit it into the dirty water tank.
Its navigation system was efficient. It avoided steps and walked close to walls without falling. It struggled with fine particles and didn't always clear the raised thresholds in rooms. Its operating noise is also high, which suggests it could be a less reliable set-and-forget model than other models.
The S1 Pro, like most robotic vacuums, comes with a docking system that allows it to refill its clean water, empty the dustbin and wash and dry the mop, and then empty its mop pad. This makes maintenance easier and lets the S1 Pro spend more time cleaning floors in accordance with the regular schedule. Eufy's application lets you manage all the functions. It gives clear information and plenty of options for configuration.
5. Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum/mower is one of the best mowers and vacuums available on the market. It offers impressive results in mopping and vacuuming. The LIDAR sensors for mapping can identify furniture legs, obstacles and other obstacles with decent precision. The app lets users fine-tune the coverage of the map, establish no-go zones, and even customize cleaning preferences. The Freo's main roller brush is also engineered to prevent hair from wrapping around it, which could be a major issue with many robotic vacuums.
The Mop Mode is impressive too and comes with Reuleaux triangular mop heads that spin at 180 RPM and apply up to 12N of downward pressure. The mopping system is equipped with intelligent carpet detectors, which lift the pads up when they're near soft surfaces to prevent contamination.
The all-in-one docking station serves as a hands-free center for maintenance that is able to wash and dry the mops and refilling them with detergent and water. The base station has an integrated dust processing system that compacts dust, allowing for seven weeks of maintenance-free operation.
6. S10
A few hundred dollars more than the S8, this robot does a bang-up job of keeping my home office tidy and is able to take on the corners of my tight apartment. It utilizes a laser mapping and camera to create a 3D-map of your home, so it knows what to avoid. In addition, unlike other vacuums that can mop it also has detection of objects and obstructions that is able to avoid things like bowls for dogs and dog toys (but not poop!).
It also has some outstanding standout features, including a self-emptying dustbin, a mop pad that's self-washing and adjustable to the temperature of the water and a side-reaching brush that can get to places that other mops don't. You can also alter the settings for each room and create cleaning schedules.
Similar to the S8 model, it comes with multi-room smart mapping and can differentiate between laminate flooring, carpets and hardwood flooring with high-pile rugs. And, if you're looking to save time, it can avoid mopping rooms that aren't soiled. If you have several types of flooring options in your home and don't wish to spend additional money for a Roborock that has advanced mapping capabilities, this is a great option.
7. Q5 Pro
This robot is a great choice when you're looking for a versatile robot that can do both regular maintenance on a daily basis as well as touch-ups to wet messes. It has a wide range of features like a self-emptying dustbin as well as an additional water refill dock, as well as adjustable settings within the app. It's extremely quiet, and it can move between furniture legs and socks effortlessly. It's not able to pick up tangled rug tassels and its battery drains faster than other models we tested in our tests.
The Q5 Pro, with a price of less than $250, is a beast that comes with a powerful suction and convenient automation, all in a sleek and stylish. It didn't score quite as well in our mopping and mopping tests like the pricier Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra however it did extremely well overall. It has a variety of cleaning modes, from the low-power 'Quiet mode' for light debris to the powerful "Turbo mode" for carpeted areas. It can even be programmed to remove and reconnect its mop pads, without getting your carpets wet.
8. K10 Plus
The K10 Plus is a great mop and robot vacuum for those who live in tiny areas. It is very silent and fast and can maneuver tight spaces efficiently. It also does a very good job of removing pet hair out of carpeting.
It's smaller than the majority of its competition however it doesn't compromise features. It has a decent amount of suction power, and it can be configured to take a photo of every object it comes across (i.e. chew toys,, socks) and mark them as 'not found in the app to ensure that they don't get picked up during future cleanings. The photos are encrypted and are not tied to your account.
It is capable of vaccuming but isn't quite as efficient at mopping. It uses disposable wet wipes that you clip onto the bottom of the bot and it essentially drags them around the floor. Compare this to the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra and Narwhal models, which have water reservoirs that can automatically wash and reattach their mophead.
