eam brainstorming brings fruit.
If done well! But most team meetings are annoying because leaders think asking open questions is brainstorming.
What you need for problem-solving meetings is:
→ Heads-up
→ Facilitator
→ Clear topic or one question
→ Appropriate technique to your context
You have plenty to choose from. Some of my favorites are:
⚀ Mind map for when you feel stuck
⚁ SCAMPER for creative design thinking
⚂ Affinity diagram for seeing the big picture
⚃ Brainwriting for including everyone in the process
⚄ Gap analysis for bridging now and where we want to be
⚅ Startbursting for coming up with questions and potential issues
Engage your colleagues in a discussion and enjoy different opinions and experiences. It is a waste not to brainstorm and just 'do it' as you think is the best.
Assumptions are not creativity.
